The Copus Grant Schemes support and encourage ways
of making science accessible to public audiences. Copus grants continue
to be made possible by funding from the Office
of Science and Technology and The
Royal Society.
Copus Grant Schemes 2003/4
The most recent round of grants will be awarded under the Copus
Grant Schemes 2003/4. These grant schemes are designed to:
- Support projects outside the formal education system that make
science, engineering and technology accessible to a broad range
of defined public audiences and improve engagement and two-way
communication between scientific communities and public audiences/professional
and other representative groups, in line with the funding priorities.
- Generate high-quality projects tailored for defined audiences.
- Encourage cooperation, collaboration and networking between
science communicators.
- Stimulate financial support from other sources.
Grants were awarded for amounts from £5,000 upwards under
one of three schemes:
- Major grants, for grants of £50,000 and over
- Large grants, for grants of £10,000 – £49,999
- Small grants, for grants of £5,000 – £9,999
The list of successful applicants
