Copus Grant Schemes

Since 1987, the Copus Grant Schemes have supported and encouraged ways of making science accessible to public audiences in the UK, with funding from the Office of Science and Technology and the Royal Society.

The Copus Grant Schemes have now closed. This site still provides information on the Schemes, including successful projects that have been funded by the Schemes, Copus Grant publications, and information for current grantholders.

If you are seeking funding, the Sciencewise Grant Scheme is a new grant scheme for public engagement in science and technology activities that has been set up by the Office of Science and Technology. For further information, please visit the Sciencewise Grant Scheme website, or contact TUV NEL, the coordinators of the scheme by email to sciencewise@tuvnel.com or by telephoning 0870 2402943 (charged at national rate).

Pointers to other sources of funding are also available.

Please note that the Royal Society do not accept nor fund any speculative applications or requests for funding.
